QUEEN STREET BUSINESS LOUNGE WITH DASCH ASSOCIATES

LOCATION:
Queen St, Melbourne CBD

COMPLETED:
2010

CASE:
The business lounge is a high traffic meeting area. To meet the botanical and contemporary aesthetic, budget requirements and high demands of the space, we transformed Freeform hand-tufted designs into sketch-like Kartina carpet.

The scale of the artwork was adjusted to segregate the space and compliment the furnishings. The new designs are more subtle to suit the overall interiors. We used 100% NZ wool for durability, softness and easy care. A resilient design to satisfy the requirements of the space.

ST JOSEPHS CHURCH WITH FPPV ARCHITECTURE

LOCATION:
Springvale, Melbourne

COMPLETED:
2017

CASE:
The original TSAR Scroll design in Freeform was ideal for the refurbishment of St Josephs - to bring the space to life and modernise.

To align with the specific aesthetic requirements whilst meeting budget and performance standards of the space we turned the Scroll Freeform into a single line Kartina design. Fit for the high-traffic.

THE GALLAGHERS RESIDENCE

LOCATION:
Glen Iris, Melbourne

COMPLETED:
2018

CASE:
The Gallaghers were hoping to liven up their study, living and dining room areas in their Glen Iris home. All three rooms are open spaced with adjoining windows looking out onto the lush garden at the back of the property.

They fell in love with Photosynthesis, a hand-tufted 100% NZ wool design that would perform in the space - durable in high traffic areas, easy to care for while adding vibrancy and warmth to the home. The floral elements of the piece also complimented the tranquil garden view.

The Gallaghers had a strong aesthetic vision and performance expectations, but budget constraints were a issue - so we came up with a solution. The Photosynthesis design was stripped back into a single colour rug with carving for the study and dining areas to align with Gallagher’s budget. The original Photosynthesis remained in the centre living space, complimenting the surrounding timber furnishings and artwork. We were able to work with the Gallaghers to preserve the floral elements of the design as well as the resilience of the product in all three spaces.
