TSAR Carpets have created holistic compositions for over 30 years, that have been globally renowned by residential and commercial architects and designers. Those pieces and TSAR’s influence on design, are being recognised at Woman Made, an exhibition that celebrates female artists, designers and makers in the contemporary art landscape.

The show is hosted by Surface Magazine in Miami’s Design District and recognises more than 40 international female creators who inspire prominent and developing artisans across the world. TSAR carpets including Cleo, Paradiso, Rae, and Lucy were included in the exhibition. Each hand-tufted floor covering plays with its contrasting surroundings to highlight the cultural and aesthetic significance of the place.

“When we decided to open our first gallery and showroom, Surface Area, we thought about which partners would be the best representation of our brand and help us bring the vision of Surface to life. TSAR Carpets immediately came to mind because of its artful approach to flooring in both design and execution. We have four of TSAR'S rugs in our space—and the unique coloring and patterns of each set the stage for vignettes styled with curated furniture, design objects, and contemporary art." - Catie Case, Senior Director of Operations at Surface

TSAR designers, Teresa Ceberek and Charlotte McGeehan and their team achieve an authenticity by adapting their vision to reflect the ephemeral states of the environment, and employing materials and production methods that best realise their design. This is one reason TSAR products have a natural harmony to them, they consider broader interpretations from conception through to fabrication.

The featured products all exemplify elements of flow, from Cleo, which looks at what lies beneath by reimaging shoreline and rock forms, to Lucy, which even as a minimal design, manages to capture movement by transitioning colours to reflect optimism.

Being included at Woman Made is further gratification that TSAR’s continued pursuit for design excellence is being appreciated on the world stage.
